We are working very hard on filming and editing new material. When a new course is released, you will find at least three videos. Our goal is to create the best videos for learning and this takes some time. Our goal is to release about 10+ new courses every year. We release 1-3 new lessons every week, so you will always have something new to learn!
Yes. We have a special "Folk Fiddle for Beginners" course. (More beginner courses coming)

You will find some lessons at the beginner level in most of the courses. For example; “How to tune the hardanger fiddle”.  All instructors have recorded tunes for different levels. All videos are shot from multiple angles, and the instructors go through the tunes down to the last detail. It's also possible to rewind, loop (will be released soon), and slow down the videos, so you can adjust the speed to your progress. So even if you are a beginner there is a lot to learn from these videos.
Absolutely! Send an email to info@thefolkmusicacademy.com with the name of the musician, links to music/video and some words about why you want this instructor to be a part of The Folk Music Academy.
We got you, here is a video where Olav explains exactly that: How to Tune the Hardanger Fiddle
Hey, you're in luck, we have an article explaining this. Check it out!
