Join us for this awesome workshop series with bluegrass fiddle master Ross Holmes! 

Part 1/3, April 14th: We’ll learn a Kenny Baker tune called “Spider Bit the Baby,” key of C, and can be played in first or second position. 

Part 2/3, May 5th: The second Zoom will be about time production, left and right hand control, and how to sound fluid and confident. 

Part 3/3, May 26th: Our final Zoom will be on improvisation inside bluegrass fiddle, as well as expanding our fiddle vocabulary into other genres and we we can apply these approaches/ornamentation to our own individual sound. 

Ross Holmes is a versatile musician known for his multi-genre playing ability. He was a founding member of Cadillac Sky and played with Mumford & Sons, Bruce Hornsby, and The Noisemakers. He's contributed to over 500 albums in the Nashville recording scene and released his debut album in 2018.
